WeighCamp

Privacy Policy

Effective 3 October 2026 · Version 1.0

The short version. WeighCamp stores your profile, cut plans, weigh-ins, food and training logs so you can use them on any device. Readings from Apple Health or Health Connect are read on your phone and are never sent to us. We do not sell your data, we do not show ads, and the app contains no advertising or analytics tracking. You can delete your account and everything in it from inside the app.

1. Who we are

WeighCamp is operated by Aaron Parry, trading as WeighCamp (“we”, “us”), based in England. WeighCamp is made by ARX Algorithms. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact: [email protected].

2. What the app does

WeighCamp plans how combat athletes make weight for a fight. It checks whether a weight cut is safe, then gives a day-by-day plan for calories, macros, water, fight week and refuelling, and lets you log weigh-ins, food and training.

Weight, food, training and related information about your body is health data. We process it only with your explicit consent, which you give in the app before a plan is made. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account; this does not affect processing that happened before.

4. Data that stays on your phone

If you allow it, WeighCamp reads resting heart rate, heart rate variability, sleep, weight and logged food from Apple Health (iPhone) or Health Connect (Android) to flag days that need a check. These readings are processed on your device and are not uploaded to our servers. WeighCamp never writes to Apple Health or Health Connect. Data obtained from Health Connect is used only for these in-app checks and is not used for advertising or sold. You can turn access off at any time in your phone's settings.

The camera is used only to scan food barcodes. Images are not stored or sent; only the barcode number is used for the lookup.

6. How long we keep data

Your account data is kept until you delete your account. Deleting your account removes your profile, cuts, weigh-ins, food and training logs, consents and parent approvals from our database. Backups roll off within 30 days. Purchase records are also kept by Apple, Google and RevenueCat for as long as they need for tax and fraud prevention. Support emails are deleted within 24 months.

7. Children

WeighCamp is not available to children under 13. 13 to 17 year olds can use Youth mode, which allows gradual weight loss only and requires a parent or guardian to approve the plan using a code sent to their email. If you believe a child under 13 has used WeighCamp, contact [email protected] and we will delete their data.

8. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct, delete or restrict your data, object to processing, receive a copy in a portable format, and withdraw consent. You can delete your account and all its data in the app (Settings, then Delete account), or see how to delete your account. For anything else, email [email protected]; we reply within one month. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

9. Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Each account can only read and write its own data, enforced in the database. Approval codes are stored only as a one-way hash.

10. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the version and date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app before they take effect.
